<strong>Method -</strong><br />
Soak chick peas overnight or for at least 8 to 10 hrs.<br />
Take some butter in a cooker.<br />
Add the chopped onions, ginger paste &#038; garlic paste &#038; saute till onions turn transparent.<br />
Add the chopped tomatoes. Stir it for some time.<br />
Add the turmeric pdr, coriander &#8211; cumin pdr, salt, garam masala, chilly pdr &#038; mix well.<br />
Add the kabuli chana &#038; add water such that all the ingredients are properly soaked.<br />
Pressure cook till the chick peas is cooked.<br />
Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.<br />
<strong><br />
NOTE:</strong> Use butter instead of oil for better taste.</p>

Divide the mixture into 10-12 portions, shape them into round tikkis and flatten them a bit.<br />

How to make Butter Murukku (Butter Rice Chakli)<br />
1. In a heavy bottomed pan, fry Urad dal till light brown and let it cool.<br />
2. Grind it into a fine powder.<br />
3. To this add the rice flour, Melt the butter and add it to the dry ingredients and mix well.<br />
5. Boil 2cups of water, hing, salt and keep aside.<br />
6. Pour the hot water little by little and stir constantly and mix. Till the dough consistency is reached. (Make sure it has the right consistency to pass through the murukku pressure).<br />
7. With the help of a murukku presser/mould, fry it in a deep pan of heated oil, until they are Light brown or golden brown in colour.<br />
8. Drain them in a paper towel to remove excess oil, let them cool.</p>
<p>Usually for 2cups flour we&#8217;ll get 10-12 murukku.Store in an air tight container. Enjoy crispy and tasty homemade butter murukku. Everyone at your home will love it.</p>

<p>Method:<br />
In a large bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, ground cumin, cumin seeds, salt, cayenne pepper and chick pea flour.<br />
Gently mix in the chopped tomato.<br />
Warm the oil for deep frying over medium high heat.<br />
Using your hands, shape into balls from the potato mixture and drop them gently into the oil.<br />
Fry them until golden brown in color. Remove and drain on paper towels.<br />
Serve hot with chili sauce. </p>

Keep a little thicker than puris. Prick with a fork.<br />
Place on a clean spread out cloth.<br />
Finish for all dough.<br />
Heat oil in a frying pan, add some matri at a time.<br />
Fry till lightly golden, flip side and repeat.<br />
Drain and cool to allow to become crisp.<br />
Store in an airtight container.</p>
