<strong>Method:</strong><br />
Soak the rice along with 1 table spoon of black gram dal in water<br />
Grind rice,jaggery and coconut scraping very well and prepare the batter<br />
Mix smashed banana and cardamom powder with the batter<br />
Heat oil in deep pan on fire and drop a big ladle (spoon)of batter into hot oil<br />
Fry the Appam till it turns brown and crisp<br />
Remove from oil and serve hot</p>

<strong>Preparation</strong><br />
Take a pan and fry the basmati rice with ghee for 5 minutes. After frying, add some water and little salt and cook the rice and drain the remaining water when the rice is 75% cooked. Meanwhile cut the onions, cabbage, carrot,beans lenghtwise , place it in a pan, add a pinch of ajinomotto, sprinkle little water  and close the pan with the lid and cook for 3 minutes. Along with it, now add celery, onion springs (cut into small pieces) and capsicum (cut lengthwise ) and continue to cook for 2 minutes. Then add this to the cooked friedrice and mix well without smashing the rice. Add soya sauce while mixing. Sprinke black pepperpowder while mixing. Close the pan and allow to stand for 10 minutes before serving</p>
<p>Add fried cashews and raisins before presentation.</p>
<p>Tips<br />
The rice should be 3/4th cooked with  little salt. The vegetables should be half cooked. The rice and vegetables will get cooked a little more when allowed to stand for 10 minutes</p>
